Davis Center for Women and Gender Equity, and moderated by GVSU multimedia journalism student Allison Donahue, this event will focus on Marisa's role as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault, including her work in breaking the Larry Nassar story.

Adrienne Wallace's CAP 495 students have partnered with GVSU's Annis Water Resources Institute and the Ottawa County Planning Department on a project involving the region's groundwater quality. You can read more in a Lanthorn article that was published this week. A GVNow story from August describes the groundwater project in more detail.
Jeff Kelly Lowenstein was awarded a McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism to "investigate the racial impact of foreclosure within federally-backed mortgage programs designed to keep seniors in their homes." The project is joint work with USA Today reporter Nick Penzenstadler, and several GVSU students will contribute to it. For more information, see the McGraw Center website.

GVSU Ad/PR major Alan Carter was featured in a spotlight video produced as part of the Laker Effect campaign. He will also be featured this fall in outdoor ads for the campaign. At the end of the day it is the value and impression the faculty have on the students that in turn makes them want to go out and make the most of the resources and world around them.
